Whose Side Are You On?

Love and peace this Tuesday Wholetonians,

I am honored to be able to write you today my friends. I cannot begin to tell you how blessed I am that in the midst of unprecedented global upheaval, Wholetones is still open, and doing our utmost to bring peace, and encouragement to hurting people around the world.

During the, “stay at home” sequester, I have been able to work on a few new Wholetones projects that I KNOW you are going to love! As soon as I can, I will be telling you all about them…first, (being a Wholetonian has its perks!). Truthfully, your love, prayers, and support, during this difficult season has made all of the difference…thank you. Now, let’s examine this weeks musing, “Whose Side Are You On?”

Julius Caesar coined the phrase, “divide and conquer,” and we are still experiencing this…to this very hour. You see, if you can divide the masses, you can control, and eventually, defeat them. And, it works on all levels of social strata, in fact, the term, “versus,” (defined, “against”) pits two sides against each other. Republicans vs Democrats, Blacks vs Whites, male vs female, etc, brings a perilous division that paralyzes unity. And when the media concocts absurd rhetoric, and exerts its power to perpetuate fear, and anger, things can quickly reach a fever pitch. Our country was built on a much greater ideal: “united we stand, divided, we fall,” – John Dickinson 1768. The truth is, we are all connected, and when we are united, nothing can stop us! History, (as well as hindsight) is 20/20, everything from world powers, to great marriages, have fallen once a versus mentality creeps in and creates division. Few would argue that a peoplewho are, “one,” are truly indivisible, thus…unstoppable!

When people become polarized, they actually believe there are only two sides involved, yet, nothing could be further from the truth. Joshua 5:13-15, And then this, while Joshua was there near Jericho: He looked up and saw right in front of him a man standing, holding his drawn sword. Joshua stepped up to him and said, “Whose side are you on—ours or our enemies’?”

He said, “Neither. I’m the commander of God’s army. I’ve just arrived.” Joshua fell, face to the ground, and worshiped. He asked, “What orders does my Master have for his servant?”

God’s army commander ordered Joshua, “Take your sandals off your feet. The place you are standing is holy.”

Joshua did it.

Leaving God out of the equation is a colossal mistake! We often only see two principals, “us,” and “them,” when in actuality, God, the third principle, is the only vantage point of importance. You see, when our lives appear to be going tornado, there is only one, God…who can calm the storm, and heal our wounds. Some of the greatest minds on the planet have done their best to put, “Humpty Dumpty,” back together again, yet even their best attempts have failed miserably. Now is the time for the world to once again trust the one who created it…to put the broken pieces together again. Although many have become pessimistic due to the current global milieu, I remain 100% optimistic. I believe that we are on the cusp of a great awakening, a new renaissance period that will be rife with astounding breakthroughs, and game changing discoveries in frequency
research.

So, dear friends, whose side are you on? As for me, and my house…we are on God’s side, and that is a GREAT place to be! Dear friends, I challenge you to do your utmost to resist the temptation to allow a versus mindset to polarize you from friends, family, fellow employees, or neighbors, who have a differing world view from your own…and see life through the eyes of love, and trust God to
make all things new. The best is yet to come, take a deep breath, laugh more, and make each day…an adventure! I love you, very much. Until next week-

Be Whole,
Michael S Tyrrell
