Tuesday greetings Wholetonians,

What a time to be alive–everyday holds limitless possibilities! When one day brings great challenges, the next day may deliver an unforeseen breakthrough. As a young man I learned that each “no” was one step closer to a “yes.” Years ago when I was going through a very difficult time, a close friend of mine called and said, “I was praying about your situation today and God told me to tell you, it’s just a pebble in your shoe, don’t worry about it!”

Guess what, my friend was right…a few days later, everything turned around in a BIG way. Truth be told, the majority of things we worry about usually turn around… and the things we fear rarely come to pass.

Life is about perspective and proximity…perspective is where you think you are, proximity is where you actually are! Often, we let our imagination temporarily replace reason. When this happens, we can become anxious and fearful of a phantom scenario that we created in our minds.

In the original television series, Star Trek, there was an episode where Captain Kirk and some of his crew found themselves on a planet where life threatening accounts were actually “apparitions,” that could not harm you if you believed they were not real. The only crewman that perished believed that the apparition was real!

Remember, every thought is a frequency where positive thoughts create… and negative thoughts destroy. And we are responsible for managing our “thought life” and being wise about which of our thoughts become…beliefs

2 Corinthians 10:5 King James Version (KJV)
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought.”

“Thinking” and “believing” are two different things. A thought is merely a “seed” (you have roughly 58,000 thoughts a day!) which is easily dealt with. But if that seed is allowed to grow into a belief, it becomes more difficult to jettison.

Here is the truth… You are the architect of your personal belief system. You alone have the ability to decide what is true… and what is false. Here is a simple way to determine what to believe: positive thoughts create positive feelings; negative thoughts create negative feelings. Believe the positive; reject the negative. This will change your life! If you do this, your future will be so bright, you’ll have to wear shades!

Maybe you are wondering what inspired me to write this email to you today? To be honest, I received some really challenging news today; the kind of news that can shake your faith if you allow it to. I chose not to let it get the best of me. Maybe, you are dealing with a situation similar to mine…will you allow fear to control your thoughts, or will your faith rise to the occasion and remind you that you live the life fantastic? And even though you don’t know how, everything will work out for you? When your faith becomes granitized and you refuse to give up on your dreams, your future will be so bright…you’ll have to wear shades!

Until next time…

Be Whole,
Michael S. Tyrrell
