Christmas greetings Wholetonians!

Ahh, the bells, the smells, and the music that permeates the season of Christmas. Now, I realize that not all of my Wholetonians celebrate Christmas.  Some of you celebrate Hanukkah, and some of you may not celebrate anything…but hey… this is my Tuesday musing…and I personally am caught up in “The Spirit Of Christmas!”

Every year, without fail, if even for a moment, I am transported back in time to my childhood…and priceless memories of “Nat King Cole,” “Burl Ives,” “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” my Mom’s masterpiece Christmas tree, smiling relatives, and Joy…lots of joy. Christmas is a time, that regardless of all of the insanity in the world, we escape into a vacuum of love, light, and giving, and everything seems to slow down for awhile.

As a child, I remember being so excited on Christmas Eve that I could barely sleep…sometimes pacing the bedroom floor, waiting until I saw the sun rise…then I bolted out of my room, jumped on my parents bed shouting, “wake up, wake up, it’s Christmas!” I’m sure my parents would have loved a few more hours of sleep…but when they saw the excitement on me, and my sisters face…priceless! And you know what, over all of these years, the excitement is still there, only now, I get to see it through the eyes of my nieces and nephews, and watching my wife, Lillian, decorating our home and a 12 foot tree, with a smile on her face that doesn’t wipe off! And then, there’s my dog, Zivah, who gets adorned with awkward reindeer ears, and loves to open her own gifts and parade them around the living room!

And then, there’s the music…our home, and hopefully, yours too, is filled with the sound of…Wholetones Christmas! Now, here is something amazing; Wholetones Christmas was recorded in Dallas, Texas…in August.  During the hottest week of the year! Outside, you could fry an egg on the sidewalk.  But in the studio…we enjoyed the Spirit of Christmas.

My friend, and keyboard/horsehead violin player, Sundui said, “In Narnia, its always snowing, always Christmas!” You cannot imagine the joy we felt recording this special Christmas project for you, I am soooo glad that Bruce Feagle, our videographer captured it all on a video titled, “The Making Of Wholetones Christmas,” and believe me, you’ll want to get one, it’s the next best thing to actually being there. Every song takes me deep into the heart of Christmas, but if I had to pick a favorite…”Carol Of The Bells,” is epic! Perhaps the most exciting part has been reading your testimonies regarding how your Christmas celebration was enhanced by playing Wholetones Christmas in your home. I love hearing your stories, especially the ones about the peace and joy that you, and your loved ones experienced as the music played, what an honor! I also found it fascinating that many of you, keep listening, long into the new year…amazing!

It was also a big surprise to find out that Wholetones Christmas, charted on the Billboard Chart last Christmas, along with “The Piano Guys,” and “Mannheim Steamroller.”

It’s really important to me that you have the chance to see just “how” Wholetones music is created.  Therefore, for a limited time, I’ve made my DVD “The Making of Wholetones Christmas” available to watch for FREE! You can watch it for yourself right here.

Hope you enjoy it!

Before I go, let me leave you with a thought…there is a reason for this season, the focal point, the essence, and the one responsible for the, “Spirit Of Christmas,” is none other than Jesus Christ! From His humble birth in a stable in Bethlehem, to the savior of the World…there is no CHRISTmas, without…Christ.

Merry Christmas to all of my Wholetonians, I love you, very much.
